they were actually rabbits. however, the skulls weren't preserved well, so they are quite decayed (but there is some nasty stuff still left on them, and fur too. pretty gross... it took me a while to be able to even touch them!)

and if it took you awhile to touch those...you should not look in the back of our car....I was out hiking in the desert a few months ago and found an entire deer that a bobcat had dragged into a tree. By the time I got to it, it was mumified but I took the skull, still has the antlers and still has fur on it :P

My wife keeps it in the back of the car because she likes it there :rofl:

there's a deer hanging in a tree out in the woods of my parents' property. I keep going out to find it, but I always have the dogs with me (my dad had put it up in the tree because the dogs had kept going back for it... it was quite nasty!) i figure i should just do a photo-op with it, before it gets totally destroyed, or the coyotes figure out a way to drag it off.

thank you. i love bunnies too. my fiance and I are in the process of thinking of adopting one. we nearly bought one the other night at the pet store. and there are the wild baby bunnies everywhere... my fiance caught one, actually, but I didn't get to see since I was at work and I was quite jealous. he let it go, since wild things should be wild. eeee! bunnies.

and yes, dead things are quite fantastic. i don't know why they are so totally interesting, but they really do keep my attention.

Oh definately! I wish I had my camera with me when I found the deer I had. I still have the skull of course...so I should do some photos of that :D
